View Full Version : "The three circles"

I'm trying to do an animated movie with a Lego model.

If look at this (too big) image, you'll notice that the leg's "Three Circles", where you change an object's rotation, isn't in the object. So when I rotate the leg, it rotates in an arch.

Can I change this so the Leg doesn't move in an arch when I rotate it.

I hope you understand.

Yeah, the pivot (rotationcenter) of the leg object has to be adjusted. You have a tool for that in Modeler...and in layout too (with the bonetools, i think).

Thank you, CB_3D.

I've Lighwave 7.0 and I can't find the tool. Does anyone knows where it is?

I found it. The Pivot button in Detail/Modeler.

You can adjust the pivot point in layout as well.

The pivot point, by default, is always set to 0,0,0 in modeler reference to the object. So If you model a layer and its away from the center point it will rotate in relation to its distance to the 0,0,0 centerpoint.

Once you adjust the pivot point and save the scene or model it should stay.
