View Full Version : Gravity FX Dynamic

I'm really new to LW and the world of 3D animation, and I'm trying to learn as much as I can with the spare time that I have, but for some reason, I cannot figure out what the Gravity FX dynamic is. I've tried using it to see what it does, but it doesn't appear to do anything. I know it must, and I'm just doing something wrong. I thought maybe it would be used to attract or repel objects, but I can't seem to get that working.

Anyway, can someone explain what it does, or maybe point me to a tutorial that uses this so I can understand out how it works and where it's used?

I would very much appreciate it.

It turns your object into a field of force, accelerating OTHER objects and particles. You have to have some form of dynamics on the other objects, and they have to be within range of the field (unless you turn off the range in the Gravity panel) So if you apply clothFX or HardFX to your object or add an emitter, then you should see them affected by the gravity field.
