Since it can capture video, any option to export it to another editing system like Matrox, Canopus via firewire? I see that it has Y/C, but if it's in digital to start with....

Yes. You can copy the .avi file via USB firewire, or network, but TriCaster doesn't support live DV streams.

And you will need the TriCaster codec on your editing machine, me thinks.

You are confusing Paul. Above you list methods for copying the TriCaster AVI file to include firewire, but after the last comma deny it supporting DV streams. Since DV is firewire, firewire is DV, the statement is contradictory.

Didn't confuse me as I already knew that TriCaster doesn't support firewire out, but think it could confuse one seeking guidance about this.

Well, a DV video stream is distinctly different from using firewire to copy files. I hope my wording was sufficient to communicate that.
