I've got an explosion with debris (created with hypervoxels) I want to comp into a scene with After Effects. How can I get shadows of the explosion & debris on the ground plane and render them out seperately for compositing? There is no object currently for the ground plane, I just set up a collision effector.

Hi mattshort,

If you create an object to catch the shadow and set it's alpha option to 'shadow density', then make the object itself unseen by rays, you should end up with an alpha that includes the shadows but not the shadow catcher object.

Thanks Wonderpup. I was getting close to that but, couldn't quite figure it out.
