Yes I know it comes with the software but is it possible for a developer to get hold of the SDK without buying Lightwave? Maxon for instance makes the Cinema SDK freely available for download by anyone.

The reason I ask is that Samir Kharchi is an excellent plugin developer for Cinema and he is interested in porting to Lightwave (see my thread here (http://vbulletin.newtek.com/showthread.php?t=42779) ) and he doesn't particularly want the expense of buying Lightwave if he can help it.

So can he get the SDK without buying LW, his plugins would benefit Lightwave tremendously in my opinion!

VReel is another company that produce plugins for Cinema that would be great in Lightwave, VReel skin is FANTASTIC! - Baz

It's available online. On the lower right of the page below are the ZIP files containing the SDK source, samples, include files and documentation.

And he will be able to run his plugin on a 'demo' version of LW, he just needs to install it to his pc and not use a dongle (and therefore not need to buy one!).
