View Full Version : How to select pts with x-values >= zero?

Anyone know of an easy to select all points with x-values of zero or positive?

Want to do this as preparation for mirroring a complex object.

In the past, I've used Lasso (right-drag) selection, starting at X=0, loop around to the right, end at X=0. The grid snap should get X=0 at the end, but if not, scan up the X axis to deselect any points that accidentally got selected.

For models where polygons cross the X axis (especially where I've used Magnet or Pole a lot), I've also used Solid Drill=>Core with a box in the background layer, one side on X=0 to slice the object down the X axis, and only keep the geometry to the right of the axis. Sometimes this needs a little touch-up as well, select leftover points to the left of the axis and setting their value(s) to X=0.

And finally, here's an LScript that selects any points where X>=0.
