Outstanding!

And thanks, Tim, for bringing that power to our desktops. A lot of people are living their dreams because of that.

This is what I've been Frigging talking about! :(
It's about Friggin time!!!!

What the heck does the Video community NOT GET??? Arrrrggggg!!!!
If it wasn't for Tim and NewTek, we'd all be working with dozens of $100,000.00 components AND working for big pocket companies!!!!! Arrrrgggg!!!

AVID, FCP, etc. they were all built around Tim's concept.
Now they've added a few more bells and whistles and pretend the Toaster is a toy! Arrrgggg!!!!!

Where's the justice??? Arrrggg!!! Toaster has evolved too!!!

OK, I'm better now. :beerchug:

Glad to see the recognition. I hope NewTek USES and ABUSES this in full page adds in ALL the trade rags.

Congrats Tim. And by the way, you look as beautiful as your picture from way back then!

I had to do a doubletake at the heading because it seems like as many friends get indicted as well as inducted. Tim does not need to be indicted, but he does deserve a lot of respect.

He is a cat that I really think deserves an A&E biography. Tim does not stand a chance on getting a E! True Holloywood Story because Tim has not had a string of porn star girlfriends, nor well publicized stints in rehab and community service where he would gather rubbish on the roadway -- oh and he does not live in Hollyweird.

If anyone taped the acceptance speech with a handycam or if it was covered by a news source I would love to hear his remarks.

Let me know if anyone knows of how I might get a chance to hear the audio or if a transcript exists (yeah right). I hope he used some kind of multimedia in his acceptance. Who could be more deserving or competent enough to accept an award and be his own AV tech than the man himself.

Congrats Tim, it's great to read that you are being recognized and there is no need to send a carton of Lucky Strikes and $100 a month for the canteen for the next 28 months.

I can't wait to learn about what you invent next. I hope I get to use it.

Thanks for being an inventor and personally leveling a playing field that includes at least 10X as many people as when the Amiga Toaster rolled out.

It is truly a privedge to use your inventions and thanks for helping me build a business which really is a he11 of a lot of fun. It's like no other and anyone who is remotely related to it should take a moment and reflect on their good fortune.

I know I do.

Cheers Tim.

Yeah.. that picture was pretty much unusable but the only one I had of Tim getting the award. My digital camera decided to die on me that night.. I'm surprised that simply spilling a coke on the lens would cause so many problems.

This is truly an honor, nearly as important as somthing Albert Einstien would be recognized for. It must be overwhelming to be recognized as someone who has actually contributed to changing a technology that has effected millions of professionals and hobbyists alike. I am one of them. As soon as I saw that Toaster Revolution video back in 1991, I was hooked. Of course I was never able to do anything quites as involved as what the demo showed, it has offered me the opportunity to get into the video editing world that I always wished was possible as a teenage 8mm film maker in the 1970s.

Be proud of your accomplishment. This is something to brag about!

Thanks again, Tim.

Congratulations Tim. Few companies have made the impact that Newtek has made and touch so many people. The Toaster has definately had an impact on my life as it has on so many.

Thank you,

Ivan
