I've written a project-based tutorial for generic scripting in Layout...

Enjoy!

Nice One Jeremy, we could do with more tutorials like this on LScript.
Often feels like it could be really put to use if people had more of an in-road the way Mel Script is pushed.

no probs guys. i see a lot of modeler scripting tutorials, but i kind of stumbled through the first couple years of layout scripting by bugging Eki. As nice as he was about this, it's probably not the best way to learn ;).

so hopefully heres the first of several.

was told elsewhere that the tut was fine but it looked a bit bland, so i made some small tweaks to the layout. hopefully it's more enticing now. ;)

thanks for this Jeremy. I've been waiting for that book on lscripts to come out. It was supposed to be for Lightwave 8 but it looks like 9 will be out before it will...

indeed. many artists (including myself) are awaiting that book...the first of it's kind. perhaps it's waiting for the leaps and bounds that lscript will have improved in 9? ;) here's hoping anyway. in the meantime, we've got one more tutorial to help us out.
