View Full Version : 8.5 update to Discovery?

Okay this is what happened. I downloaded the 8.5 update, installed it on the 8.3 folder. No problems at all until I launched Lightwave and found out it now only runs in Discovery Edition. It doesn't matter how many times I enter the license key. The dongle works, or at least the green light is on. Any suggestions?

I think I fixed it. I restarted my machine and guess what. Okay so it's been one of those day. :)

Do a search here on the sentinel driver issue. I seem to recall something about 8.5 or some 8 version causing havoc with the drivers. I don't recall which driver is needed. I've got the new sentinel driver 7.1 and seems ok. You can also look in the sentinel folder, there should be an app there for testing the dongle.

it's working fine now. I guess it just needed to be restarted. Not sure about these window machines. I usually use my mac so the pc world is a little strange some times.
