Did LW8 ever improve UV smoothing with subpatching? I was kinda hoping that the UV's would smooth along with the Subpatch conversion but it seems like it responds the same way that LW7 does with it's blocky UV curvature. I'm looking into the work arounds for this but I was just curious if there were any new UV tools out of the box that address this.

You need to look at vertex map interpolation in the vertex maps panel (F8). LightWave has at the moment the only subpatch distortion-free mapping method to my knowledge.

Wooo, that's awesome, Thanks! I knew it was in there somewhere. I guess the manual people took it for granted that I knew where that feature was. :)

Yeah, I just started using LW8 so my referance knowlege is a little outdated. Sometimes the electronic manual doesn't give me all the details, I've found.:stumped: Thanks for the info :D
