what Ilm describing is like the Aov passes that renderman has. Perhaps the best demonstration of this would be what polas put together in his product surpass:



What would be the icing on the cake would be the ability in LW to save this as one file using openEXR so that 2D applications like Nuke and Shake can load a a single file with 30 channels composed of the separeate passes.

Pretty much encompassing what Surpass does would be a boon to LW.
