Hi everyone, a friend of me make a game engine and a 3D exporter too.
but the problem is a 3dsmax importer. I use lightwave for long time et i've no experience with 3ds. it is possible to convert models, anim, textures by a very very great plugin ?

BTW - Whatever you use, you will need to have a full licensed install of 3dsMax on the machine you use for the conversion.

You also want to keep an eye on your naming to avoid confusion. Refer to it as Max or 3ds Max, because .3ds is a file format from the old 3d Studio R1 to R4, or an abbreviation for that app, (not 3dsMax).

Use 3ds Max or just Max to refer to that app & .max to refer to its file format. .3ds is obviously not the same thing, and a lot of people don't seem to get the difference.

If you are dealing with .3ds files, then you don't need to have Max installed. If you are dealing with .max files, then you do.

I'm dealing with max. files not 3ds < i'm not using max since R4 version :) >
I'lle be testing this two solutions to find the better choice.
