It seems like every card I buy performs one task perfectly, crash my system(s).

Going to trash the nVidia GeForce4 Ti 4600 that's in my "B" system now, because it belongs in the trash - what a piece of OEM junk.

My ATI card in a redundant system works fine, but does not cut it for demanding projects.

DOES ANYONE MAKE A PRO QUALITY OPEN GL CARD FOR MAC THAT IS
WORTH PUTTING ON THE TOP OF MY BUDGET? Money is not the object, because I spend so many hours dealing with bugs.

Any advice from hardcore MAC heads appreciated.

Thanks,
Monkey

Throw your crummy old PowerMac G4 in the garbage bin (or rather, put it in the closet). Buy a PowerMac G5. Lightwave doesn't use your video card anyway (I went from a 64 megabyte 9600 Pro to a 256 megabyte 9800 Pro and didn't notice a difference), and the G5 crushes the G4 at most things in Lightwave. It costs more than a new video card, yes, but it performs a lot better.
