I have an odd problem with Radiosity and Reflections

seems like it it adds a bunch of yellow dots(see 1st attached image)
i was able to clean it up with photoshop, but what if I want to render an animation, I dont really feel like post processing 200 or so frames!!

I rendered the 1st image with the following settings
a radiosity dome with 100% luminosity
lights = openGL only
antialiasing = Enhached low

is there a way to set the ground plane to not show the reflection?

Obviously you have specularity on both your material + some light wich causes the specs. Turn off specularity

Thanks for the tip

I tried turning off the specularity on all my sufaces.

my 1 light is set to affect OpenGL only, the affect specular is unchecked.

unfortunately i'm still getting specks? :bangwall:

What is giving the reflections/highlights in the metall then? If you use a reflectionmap could it be an hdri wich causes the highintensity specs?

yeah it looks like thats it

I'll try using a non hdri image as a reflection map

Thanks :)

You can use the same image as now but limit it's dynamic range a bit with Hdrexpose.

Wow thanks

I used HDR Exposure, & set the black point to 90% seems fine now

:bowdown:

Once the render is done I'll post the results.

here is the final render

Thanks again :)

Lightwave's radiosity calculates caustics, and that's probably what you're seeing. Since the sky is a light and the object in the center is reflective, light bounces off it onto the ground.
