Hey folks,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good book with basic Lightwave modeling instruction and tutorials (I prefer printed books over online video tutorials). I have a strong background in 3D in another package but am not familiar with Lightwave and its specifics.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I think "Essential Lightwave" by Timothy Albee would be a good choice also. it covers many of Lightwaves tools and plugins. :goodluck:

I started with "Inside Lightwave 8" with Dan Ablan which had me from ametuer to novice in no time. After that I pick up "Essential Lightwave 3d 8" timothy albee as a re-cap of what I learned from the first book. I probably have every other book and DVD on lightwave. Those 2 in that order was the best jump off for me. Ablan has a good DVD courseware which is good to look at when your not reading the book.
