View Full Version : I Need a .mot motion file loading LScript

Hi Everyone,

I will have a scene with hundreds of similar objects.

I have written programs to create hundreds of LW 7.5 .mot motion files.

My objects are in groups like box1-1.obj, box1-2.obj, ...box1-32.obj etc, meaning 32 objects in box1 group.

Other groups might be sphere1-1.obj, car1-1.obj etc.

My motion files are labeled in a similar fashion box1-1.mot, box1-2.mot etc.

My .mot files control color, Yscale, opacity etc.

I have been loading the motion files manually, what a chore.

I don't know LScript and I'm not sure I have the time to learn it right now, but hopefully in the future.

Is someone willing to write this script, or multiple scripts if needed?

I use Lightwave as a hobby, so this is just for me, and nothing professional.

But, I would be willing to pay someone to write the scripts for me, as a thanks for your hard work in learning LScript and then giving the LScript source to me so that I could learn from it and modify it in the future if needed.

I would be willing to pay $50, how would that be?

I would want no more than 1 LScript for each object group, or 1 LScript to handle all the groups.

If it would help, I could create a file for the LScript to use:
box1 24 38 Yscale
box1 24 38 opacity
car1 65 75 Yscale
etc. (or something like this)

Where box1 is the first group, with objects numbered 24 to 38, box1-24.obj, ...box1-38.obj where the motion files would modify the Yscale of each object.

My email is [email protected], I live in California.

Or respond here if you want to, just have a way for me to contact you if you are interested.
