What is meant by this? is it differant from the normal circle,as in top veiw? scott

I've got a scene where my point lights seem to fall off in OpenGL. I'm not sure if it's accurate-to-render, but it's still very satisfying.

The lighting in the new GLSL is on a per pixel basis rather than per vertex, allowing for more accurate lighting. I think GL 2 allows for shadows too, though that's not supported on less than a geforce 5900 card I think.
