View Full Version : Bone fall off per bone

Finally getting my way around bone influence. I have messed with it before with poor results and decided to take it up again.

I don't know if this has been asked for already and I am a noob to rigging but I am real close to getting a chracter rigged without weights. In fact with the use of some tips from SpineGod, I got it pretty close with some hold bones, rest length and multilpy by rest length. However there were some places that only changing the global fall of setting would fix and hold bones or other setting would not handle.

Would it not be helpful to have a fall off setting on a per bone basis?

You can alter the bone strength per bone... Might that help?

It seems to be relative to the fall off unfortunately.

I actually solved the little trouble spot. There was a bone I forgot that was influencing it. So my rig is OK but still would be nice to have the fall off controlled per bone. There are still some places that could use a different setting.

And while we're on the subject, how about the ability to animate the fall off as well as per bone.

Just a thought.
