I downloaded it, but have yet to recieve the promised e-mail with the activation code. Anybody else get theirs, and if so - how long did it take to get to you?

Same here. I managed to get there before the offer ended, but I haven't received my code yet.

It took many hours before I got mine. Have patience.

I have no patience!, else I'd be a doctor.

Seems kinda funky what they consider "today", given that they're in California.

My guess is they got overwhelmed as the word got out, and they just shut it off (either that, or only gave a certain number of free copies away).

since when does a 1 day giveaway end before 6:00? it says its no longer avalable and I have to wait till 2010 (I can drive by then..wohoo!!!) but I will be a millionar by 2010 so no free offers unless in value over $10,000 would be much to me :thumbsdow . I guess they had such a high volume that they decided to end it, or maybe they decided before they put it out to limit the nuber of downloads so it stops at 5000 or something. it ok, 2010 is only 5 years...I think I am going to grow a beard by then

Still waiting for your free serial number? Our giveaway was so popular that there is a large backlog in our mail servers. If you entered a valid e-mail address we will be continuing to send out serial numbers over the next two days. Remember that if you use an e-mail service with mail filtering your serial number may have been diverted into a bulk mail folder

The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 10 characters. [guess quoting doesn't count towards message length]

Not sure how good a deal it really is. The player and codec are free but the converter is a 6 mos. trial.

Atleast now they tell you why when you click on the link above why it had ended (as it seemed Chris posted that "day"). Seems like Chris was a day late too and made the cut off in time (which was 1 Est).

If you just put the free Divx Play codec (Divx 6) on your system you can use other encoders to convert to DIVX.

You don't neccesarily need their creator. I find the creator a little limiting and then confusing if you try to stray outside of their presets.
