I'm new to Lightwave and this forum, and I was doing the animate blood cells tutorial, everything is fine except that when I render the picture the cells are gray, se picture.

They are red in the Viper though... someone please help!

One thing that could cause it is if you have raytraced transparency turned on and an uncoloured background, and you've set the ray recursions to something too low. What happens then is that the transparency in the blood cell objects is traced to the background instead of the object behind it.

It would help if you post your settings.

Here's the settings.

I don't have transparency enabeled, it's at 0%... maybe I should post my scene file here instead?..

If you're comfortable doing that, sure. Any shaders on the surfaces? Viper doesn't render shaders, as far as I know, so it could be a rogue shader turning it grey.

hi, I made an interesting discovery today, when I changed the fog color, the color of the cells changed with it, wierd. Why is that??

So I guess I should set it to black right?

wait! when I check the "use backdrop color" it fixed the problem! yay! :boogiedow
does anybody know why the cells were affected by the fog color??
