View Full Version : Getting rid of seams in skybox skys?

I have a scene where I am using a skybox for my sky. It is almost perfect....except that I have the faintest of lines in the image where my corners meet. My geometry is fine and my maps are at 100% of the polygon area. I am NOT using Skytracer, too slow and too fake looking.

I have searched the threads on skyboxes but not found any difinitive answers on the seam problem.

Anyone have any suggestions?

My seams on a test skybox went away when I scaled the textures up by 1/100th. In my case, the sides of the box are 1km square, and the texture is sized to 1.01km. Might be worth a try.

I haven't baked a sky in a long time, but look for the anti-aliasing option when baking. I'm not sure if it defaults to on or off. Try changing it and see if it is different.
