What is the best way to create video clips for powerpoint? create it from a RTV, AVI, render it with a third party program

What format ? I want to have the clip play back smoothly the previous clips my client has are I think Mpeg1

I think you can save out each PP slide as an images file (jpg or png) then drop them in the editor. Use toolshed to set your lengths.

Mpeg1 would be the most universal. A bit large but it would work no matter what machine you are using. WMV would be smaller but you may run into issues if they don't have the codec on their machine. If it's only your machine that will run it I'd go WMV using Windows Media encoder. Otherwise I would go with Mpeg1 from TMPG.
