:compbeati Hi, im having trouble with my Xvid and DivX codecs, they work on some animations but on others it says "cannot steam file" or somthing like that when i press F10, its really wierd, it seems to work with nearly all the pre-set animation inside lightwave, but not on the animation files ive created, well it did on a few but i was wondering id this is a common problem, just seems wierd that it seems to pick and choose when to work :compbeati

Any help would be a really help, DivX and Xvid are great for previews, they are clear and amazing files sizes :)

Cheers :tcicon:

It could be you are trying to render to a resolution that divx doesnt support? Thats my best guess at the moment.

it cant be, the rez is 1024*578 and i then make it 50% in lightwave

Its ver 7.5c by the way

578 / 2 = 289.

Whelkn is most likely correct. Try something divisable in 2, 4, 8 or 16 (not sure what Divx/Xvid requirements are). Or try another codec or format. QT is quite popular for making LW previews, probably (partly) because it isn't as picky.
