Just updated to 4.5 from VT3. All went well. Also updated Windows 2000 Pro to Windows XP Pro special pack 2. I loaded the operating system on top of the old one.
When I click on the menu in VT 4.5 it at times will take a long time to load the menu. Kinda like it locks up but I just have to wait.

Any ideas on speeding up my system?

Plus, when I capture some audio and try to bring it into Sound Forge 5, it won't load cause I get a message that says "File is compressed and requires a Microsoft Audio Compression Manager (ACM) compatible driver." I thought audio was uncompressed? Any help on this?

All else seem to be great. Thanks in advance for the help.

I forgot to mention my computer system. It is a Supermicro 2.4 Xeon dual processor with 1 gig Ram. All standard stuff needed and VT3 worked great.

Don't use "FP" audio, VT is about the only program that can read that.

Change to 16-bit, 48KHz audio for your capture.

Randall,
Make sure you're capturing 16-bit stereo, and not the default Floating Point audio.

Thanks guys for the help. What do you think is causing the slowness?
Is it better to load Windows XP over 2000 or do a fresh install with a reformatted hard drive?

Fresh for sure!

You don't want old system files and the like hanging around.
