We are using Datavideo TLM404 monitors, these are closed contact. How would I convert the VT4 5v Tally system to work with these monitors?

Hope this makes sense the datasheet for these monitors can be found here TLM404 PDF (http://www.datavideo.info/support/manuals/TLM-404.pdf)

Hope someone could be good enough to help me out :help:

Here is a diagram from another thread.....

I don't know what it would take to get to get the signal across, but you could use the info to get started and do some experimentation.

--------------------------------------------

1 / LED 1
2 / LED 2
3 / LED 3
4 / LED 4
5 / LED 5
6 / LED 6
7 / LED 7
8 / LED 8
9 / GND
10 / GND
11 / No Connect
12 / GPI 0
13 / GPI 1
14 / 3.3 volt power
15 / No Connect

-----------------------------------------

The LED outputs are current sinking (goes low when active) and you should
use at least a 200 ohm current limiting resistor in series with an external
LED. There is also a 200 ohm resistor in series with this signal inside BOB.
These LED signals are just copies of the tally LEDs on BOB.

The GPI pins can support a normally open switch between the GPI pin and
ground.

There is 20 ohms of series resistance on the 3.3 volt power pin

You are all set!

The inputs on the TLM-404 are contact to ground, as ar the outputs on the video toaster.. do this: interconnect the comon grounds of both systems (this is actually allready done if you have a video cable running anywere between them, but do it anyway) then connect each output pin from the VT to teh corresponding red input pin on the TLM-404.
That shoudl do it!
