i'm try to do the same thing as this tutorial.

but when i set the target item to the null, the bone's point straight up and down.

please help, thanks.

Did you reset your bone's pivot rotations? Because if you did, this might be the problem.

yep that fixed it.

but now i have a new problem. :bangwall: :bangwall:
after i setup the eye nulls and bones. i saved it and quit.
then i reopened it and now the eyes (polys) are outside of the head...wtf?
the bones and nulls are still in the same place. i don't get it.

One thing to check is make sure your weight maps are still all applied to the eyes and the head in the bones properties panel. Then, again making sure you are at the rest position, hit r.

If none of that works, make sure all your bones have the same attributes, that is "use weightmaps only" "normalization", "multiply by rest length" etc. I have found that all of these things, if not consistant, can make the rig go funny.

I have been learning that LW has a problem updating certain things and you don't find out untill you close and reopen a scene. I think it is an 8.3 issue.
