I can get the particle system to emit properly. Color of the sweat is another thing. I have attached hypervoxels to the emitter layer. How do I get the particles to look like sweat? Also, I selected the forehead area of a head to emit the sweat particles from, the selected band of polys shows up in the render, so I select "unseen by camera" and the sweat then dissappears. How to overcome this?

For the band of polys go to the object properties panel and make the polygon size 0. To make the HVs look like water try doing this:
Make them 90% or so transparent.
Make them black in color. Water is colorless.
Give them an incident angle gradient in the reflectivity channel. Give them something to reflect like an image of some kind. You can also turn on trace reflection and refraction.
Give them some specularity.

Nice tutorial thank you.

Splinegod, are you talking about HVs color and reflectivity channels? I can find the HV color but no reflectivity channel or specular channel. I am using LW 8.5. I will try making my sweat band of polys a different surface and see if I can then use the reflection and spec channels from the surface editor- is this what you mean?

Looks like it there to me. :D

Oh I'm checking on 8.0 - is 8.5 broken?

Those settings appear when you have surface voxels selected. :)

Hypervoxels/Object Type/Surface. That is the ticket!
Thank you God of Splines!
