I have a long sequence in LW and I want to chop something out of the beginning - how do I shorten that part only and have the rest of the animation scoot down the timeline so I keep the pacing right? Am I making sense? I work with Final Cut and what I am loking for is a way to do an edit where I cut a section of the footage and the rest of the footage after that point in the timeline all gets brought forward to fill in the gap I cut.

Please help if you understand what I am asking

thanks

Go to the Scene editor, and click drag ABOVE the columns which you wish to cut out so it selects the area below. Remember to have your hierarchy fully opened out (it's in the rightclick menu when your mouse is over the items called 'Expand child items(recusive) I think). The right click in the selected area and go to 'Delete'. This will delete with ripple. If you want to delete keys without moving any following, use 'Cut' instead.
