Hey, has anyone used this http://www.nuclearglory.com/lw2dx.php exporter to convert your LWO to .X?

I am hoping to not need it. But I could not overlook the software because of the low price point.

Currently I am writing my own DirectX loader C# assembly class. As of this weekend, I can load the geometry of a simple cube or sphere and display it in a DirectX window. Next weekend I hope to fix a couple of more bugs in the loader and start pulling the texture information from the LWO file.

Final goal of this project is to write model class object that can load everything from the LWO file to be used with a game engine. Hopefully keeping the game's object in the LWO file will help in any mods to the final game.

Is this for your own game engine or would you consider releasing the source code?

ps have you tried the DStorm plugin?
