Hi all,
I would like to ask whether anybody here has made or knows where to find fully functional character model of human...I am desperate because I am not so experienced yet and needed just to programm some simple moves and project its shade on some sort of curtain. Can anybody help ?

There are sites that sell objects etc. The only one that comes to mind at the moment is http://www.turbosquid.com.

You could always make one in Poser and export it. Or get some nice Poser user to do one for you - not ideal, but it's quick!

What do you mean by Poser ? I need this model just for really short sequence to throw a shade on a irregural shape. Sorry, but for me it is pretty much to buy a model for hundred dollars to do so.

Poser 6 is a 3D application that makes humans (and animals) and you can export them to Lightwave and other 3D apps....

you can check out the program here http://www.e-frontier.com/

if you can't afford to get this now I would suggest that perhaps you look at a few back issues of 3D World Magazine which is giving (or given) away a time limited demo of Poser 6 on the front cover disk...

Hope that helps

Speaking of 3D World Magazine, recent issue (#68) talked about open source figures provided free, part of the Open3DProject, "an ongoing effort to make high-quality models royalty free and available for unlimited use, or even further modification." It gave three links...

Hope one of these works for you...
