How do I render out 3D depth of field in RPF/RLA format from Lightwave8.3 that is equivalent to 3D Max 3D depth of field?
I want to use the 3D depth of field in Discreet's Combustion 4.
Thank in advance.

Yes, z-buffer...
How do I export that from LW83?
I have exported rpf extended but Combustion 4 keep telling me that I have no 3d depth of field information with the file.

go to the image processing window

add image filter select the extended RPF export - bring up its properties then select the file name and location and the buffers you want included then render it out then the file the exporter put out and saved for you will have the buffer info included

thanks for that, I was just looking for that as well.
I am using DFX+ and couldn't get the rla to work. It gave some funky gradient look.
Your suggestion on the .rpf worked first go. Thanks again.
