Hi.
Does any one know how to use an alpha channel to let a different texture be seen?

Im using texture A for an object and I need to morph this texture into texture B wich has different values of color, specularity, transparency and so on.

Does any one know how to do this?

So far I have just been able to use an alpha channel with a gradient, but that only allows me to let a different color be seen throuh it , donīt know how to apply it to a different texture.

Any help will be apreciated.

JM

If you want to transition from one complete surface to another, you have 2 options. Use the alpha in every single channel you want to change, or use Surface mixer - under Shaders. ( Set the blend to 0 then add your gradient or texture)

Got it. Surface mixer works great.

Thanks

The thrid option would be to morph the obejct to a duplicate of itself - with a different name - and choose morph surfaces.

That changes the whole surface over time, you can't blend them with a texture

Sorry. I Thought that's what he wanted to do. But now that I think of it you could do that too.
