Been a lurker around here for sometime now, Upgraded my VT2 system recently to Dual Xeon's from a single P4, Wow what difference!
my system now
VT2 with Bob(upgrading to VT4 soon)
VT2 Card is in a 32 bit slot
Supermicro X5DAL-G
Dual Xeon's 2.4 533mhz FSB
1 Gig ram
evga nvidia geforce FX 5200 128meg video card
Supermicro DAC SATA MV8(64 Bit SATA Controller) in the 64bit 133 MHZ Slot
2-160 Gig SATA Drives striped together for Video
3-80 Gig IDE's striped together (for DVE's,Jumpbacks)
1-160 IDE system drive
XP Pro SP2

System works great but only getting 115-120 Mb/s throughput on the SATA drives, do I need to go to 4 SATA to see a speed increase on my SATA Raid? Have read someone else using the same SATA controller and getting much greater speeds, I am missing a setting somewhere on getting higher speeds? Been through the bios settings on the motherboard several times.

VT2 has been working great for my needs, Live Corporate Production (Imag, camera switching and video playback) not really doing alot of graphic intensive stuff but would like to start since I now have the power. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

120 MB/S looks pretty good to me from just two drives.

Thanks Jeff, I thought that was normal but just wanted to double check on it.
