View Full Version : Preference/Plugin settings don't stick (7.5d)

some of my settings don't stick after a restart of Lightwave. This includes added Plugins, Keyboard shortcuts and the frame end beep in render settings. I think I can remember, this wasn't always the case. I'm using 7.5d on 10.4.2.
I tried to find it in the Manual and searched the archives with no luck.

I would appreciate any help or tips on this one.

You probably know this, but LW has to quit without crashing to rewrite the preference files, so make sure it quits normally after setting your options. If that's not it, check the preference files to see if they're write-protected.

If that's not it either, check the Hub cmdline file in the programs folder - it tells LW where to look for preferences. Should say :
-c"MacIntoshHD:Users:yourName:Library:Preferences" -p"MacIntoshHD:Users: yourName:Library:Preferences"

I didn't know about crashing and writing pref files. Seems like this is the problem, since they're not write-protected and the hub cmdline looks fine. Sometimes after quitting, I get an alert that LW unexpectedly quit. I don't know why this is, but it only occurs on some occasions.

I will see how it goes and hopefully have the problem dissappear again..
