I have two Canon OPTURA mini DV video cameras. On one of them, all of my footage have two small white dots on it that never move. Any one know what is causing this?

If it was some dust on the CCD sensor, than wouldn't they be black dots.?? As they are white. Could this be some burned out pixels in the CCD sensor?

What do you think is causing this?

You got it on the second try, dead pixels. :grumpy:

Defective green pixels will show up as white dots.

For the really critical shots you can fix this in post, even in VT (static custom DVE created in Aura/Mirage), with pixel cloning techniques, but there are programs that do it automatically. I believe Mirage has a plugin or script for available for this, but not sure as I use so many pgms now...
