In a recent issue of 3D World, they had a tutorial for Real Flow that had a character filling up with water (see attached pic).

I'm trying to recreate this in lightwave. It's only going to be a still image, and I only need to show the character mid-formation.

Has anyone out there got some good ideas on how to go about this. I am modelling the character at the moment, and then I was going to place a particle emitter inside the model and use the geometry as a collision object to contain them.

Will this work?

Any alternative ideas on how to tackle this always appreciated.

I would pour the particles in but not used them to try and fill up the container. You would need lot of particles. I would fill the interior with points that morph up similar to this. http://www.3dtrainingonline.com/examples/morph_text.mov

Thanks Larry. How would you fill the interior with points? Is there a quick way of doing this or is it just the slow manual way I'm thinking of?

BTW After a long absence I've just started on the rigging part of your Character series. Excellent as always.

The way that I would do it would be similar to how I did this one.
It looks like Hypervoxels but its all done with geometry using a single endomorph. I just recently released a CD covering this and other types of displacements.
