is there any way of installing and runing Lightwave8.x on linux?

anyone, i mean Pure linuz nothing like wineX or any window emulation, just pure linux(mandrake 10.1 distro). i would think it be a clear yes or no.

No, it's not possible to run Lightwave natively in Linux. Not until NewTek makes a GNU/Linux version, anyway.

Wine = for Wine Is Not an Emulator ;)

I've heard people say that Lightwave under Wine runs at a similar speed to Lightwave in windows.

I would be surprised if it was much slower. As far as I've heard, only Direct3D gets much of a slowdown in Wine. The problem with it is stability and functionality, not performance.
