View Full Version : pull down menus in LW 6.0

I have a PowerMac G4 running MacOS 10.2.8, and my classic version of LW 6.0. I had to reinstall a bit ago, and am now coming back to use the program. The problem is that any time I click on a pull-down menu, it appears behind the panel and I can't see any of the text.

How do I fix this?

A great way to fix that would be to find and download Lightwave 6.5 for OSX! It's a free upgrade for registered owners.

...would that be? Does NewTek still have it onsite? I have emailed at least once regarding this issue, and still not have received a reply from tech support.

...my version of LW is for MacOS 9? Is there an upgrade to MacOS X available from OS 9? I found a couple, nosing around ftp.newtek.com, but they don't seem to load up properly.

Yes of course - a license for OS9 is no different from one for OSX - the upgrade is not just a patch to the application. Not sure why you'd have trouble running the installers, maybe a phonecall would get you better results with tech support.

...now it says my license is temporary?

I think you just need to move the license.key file into the OSX Lightwave Programs folder.

That did the trick-- and the pull-down menus are visible! Thank you for your help.
