And this, well it's a cargo-robot, a bit like the one in aliens, but then diffirent.
His basic work will be putting the radioactive batteries in a sort of unit.
So thats the reason he will not have any guns or other cool stuff.

Greetz!

The bottle/canister in my opinion should be more frindly for the rest materials used for this robot. The canister is another story. The glass should be more dirty, not so shiny etc.
But the robo is d a m n good!

Very cool! But I'm actually almost more impressed with how you did the background. I suck with Photoshop.

Gorgeous robot - though the cyan liquid ib the tank lets it down a bit...

Excellent modeling and sense of style! How much of this model uses subpatches?

Sytho

well, no subpatches for this one.
You can view the basic modelling in the wireframe background.
Thinks the comments about hte canister are right, the should have been more weathered. maybe when i have some time to spend.....

I like the look of the textures. Your metal really looks like metal. Really nice. Absolutely excellent model and lightning.

I just wonder how this droid is going to walk. Movement of the legs seems not to include an option to lean over to one side. So if one leg is lifted, it would fall over. I just took a look at those Alien-droids: the pilot tries to keep the balance. That is why he is standing and not sitting.

Regards,

Christian.

Im fascinated by the texturing, if you could, can you go through your process. What mapping techniques, what types of surface properties, where you get textures from (images or PhotoShop created?)

I must say that I really like the design and the look of the 3d model. But I have to agree with some of the others about the container...somehow it distracts from the rest of the mech...

But everything else looks really good.
