Hi All,

I've been trying to render out an animation to be used in part of a PAL DVD presentation. I've set the Frames Per Second in the General Options tab to 25, and also in the Options dialog box in the Render Options tab its set to 25 FPS, but still when I look at the properties of the rendered video its at 30 FPS! I know its probably something simple i'm missing!

Also, what codecs do you people generally use for DVD work? I've just been rendering out to Quicktime with DV PAL compression. Does that sound about right? Any advice on this would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Steven.

Always render to indvidual frames if you're going to video - there's a bunch of good reasons, and I think what you're experiencing is a bug I heard about a while ago, which is another good reason.

I've saved a list of the reasons, because it comes up regularly -

There's also some links to discussions here about video codecs.

thanks for the quick reply.

rendering out individual frames then putting them together in another application sounds like the best solution to my problem.

cheers.
