Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right word for this technique but... Is it possible to blend textures in LightWave based on 'vertex-weights'? For example, I have 4 textures:
1 sand
2 grass
3 rock
4 mud

Each vertex stores 4 values that says how much to take from each texture. For example, vertex-weight = (0, 0.5, 0, 0.5) would mean that this vertex uses 50% grass and 50% mud. I'd like to use it for smooth transitions between tiles on a terrain in Modeler. This page contains some pics and text about it:

Hi aso3,

Not sure if this helps you, but this can be done using weightmaps as the input parameter for a an alpha gradient- so you can control blending on a vertex level this way.
