Can someone explain to me the idea behind the plane collision type? I dropped a HardFX object onto an FX Collison plane that was set to object/bounce, and the object bounced more or less as expected. Then I changed to plane/bounce. In one frame, the object bounced back more than it had dropped in the last thirty frames.

If I lower the bounce power from 200% to 13% it looks about right. What accounts for the different interpretation of this value?

Edit: roughness seems to interact poorly with a low-power plane/bounce collision. If increase roughness above zero, the object sticks to the plane. In object mode, the object bounces off at an angle.
