I have alot of models using a whole bunch of textures in TIFF format. Ever since upgrading to 8.3 i get the following warning when opening models that use the tiff textures.

WARNING:

TIFFReadDirectory: Warning,

<drive>:\(address)\Filename.tiff: Unknown field with tag 34665 (0x8769) encountered.

this will popup repeatedly for all the images.

how do i prevent this? Its really annoying. And why did it start doing it after the update?

Not sure why it started after the upgrade, but I suggest you convert the .tiff's to .tga's, as Lightwave seems to "like" the .tga format best.

There was a similar problem on the Mac with 8.2, where a tiff would read as a 'bad magic number' and then crash LW or Modeler. This was resolved with 8.3 on the Mac. I will test it out on the PC (which I don't use as freqently).

Yep, seems like a bug in 8.3.
