If you have LW 8 I have some videos that are included with the 3rd party content CD that shows that.

so all I have to do is put in the third party CD and I'm there?

No, but it's a big step in the right direction. Look for the video on the CD.

There are a number of tutorials on rigging to be found.. Some free, some not-so free. Heck, I even have some rigging videos on my site. You can also check out SplineGod's stuff (http://www.3dtrainingonline.com/professionalcharacterseries.html) and this one (http://www.3dtrainingonline.com/professionalcharacterseries.html) and some others you can find via Google (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=lightwave+rigging+tutorial). Rigging isn't for the timid.. But if you're patient, it can be rewarding.

Here's some good free rigging videos (http://www.newtek.com/products/lightwave/tutorials/animation/rigging/)

I hope this helps :)
