When I am in point mode with points around the edge of a circle, I press "Edge Bevel" and lines shoot out from the object in all views except "perspective." I have searched the Forums and still don't understand why this is happening. As explained in one discussion that the points may be in line with one another to cause the problem. Okay, how do I avoid the problem considering that I'm working with a circle?

Open the numeric panel and make sure the values for move is not way out of wack. Depending on the size of your circle, this should be a fairly small value.

The object is a hollow cone with a diameter of 1.12m at the bottom that has an edge coming toward the center. The cone is 8mm tall and the grid is at 100mm. When I activate the numeric pad it shows 34.32942 mm for the "move". If you want I'll send you the object.

I can't promise anything, but I can look at it for you.

Ok, I have the object. Now what layer do you want edge beveled? and what edge?

The fourth (4th) layer and the edge that is coming toward the center at the bottom of the cone.

One problem I found is there are 2 point polys on the bottom edge. There is still a problem with it. I atleast got rid of those long lines. But bevel edge still does not work right.
I then tried rounder on the outter edge and modeler crashed.
I recommend that you post this file onto this forum, to allow others figure it out, perhaps even let me know if this is a legitimate bug, or I am just not finding the true problem.
