View Full Version : Problem with Hard Dynamics

I'm very new to LW, so bare with me. I'm having a problem with hard dynamics. I have two objects, a disk and a ball. In layout, I have the disk as a parent of the ball, so when I rotate the disk, the ball goes with it.

I have that working, but now I want to add hard dynamics so after the ball and disk rotate together for awhile, a collision object comes in and hits the ball and knocks it away. When I add the hard dynamics, the ball only rotates with the disk for a few frames, then sits there and seems to wait for the collision object to hit it.

Any ideas of what I can do to keep the ball rotating with the disk until the collision object hits it?

Select Collision>Start by collision (in hardfx on the ball). Then it'll continue being the child of the disc until the ball hits an object with collision on. At that point it'll fly off on it's own.
