Apologies if you have seen this already, but here is a page with all my modelling work for the 1st Season of Captain Scarlet:

http://www.f-nine.co.uk/index_scarlet_first.htm

The work for the 2nd season can't be shown yet in accordance with IPC's NDA agreement.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers!

All I can say is wow! Great work, all of it.

I haven't seen any of the new series so I am presuming the characters are all CG nowadays, as opposed to puppets with those oh-so-obvious wires making them move? If so, did you do them as well - I didn't see any on your site.

Adrian.

I've been watching that series on MOM on Saturday mornings, brilliant work. I was never really a fan of the puppets, but this new adaptation has really floated my boat. Congratulations.

Way cool.

Same as Badgerboy, I have been dragging my sorry carcass out of the pit on a Saturday morning to catch it on MOM. Some inspirational work there!!

Looking forward to the next series.

The stuff seems to have disappeared. As an old fan of Captain Scarlet, I'd really like to see them, assuming the legal department hasn't come down. Any new links?

You can see them all at www.craigaclark.com

SOrry to ake an old thread, I just periodically check my threads to see if I missed anyone.

I work in TV and have always been blown away by the rendering and animation in what I've seen of the new-look Captain Scarlet. Superb work. It gives inspiration to many others in the media.

Very very nice sir!

Just wanting to know, some of the textured renders have additional soft shadows (in addition to the AO pass), are these of the spotlight variety or area lights?

CAClark

I'm pretty sure the majority of the renders use area lights, except for any that blatantly have large numbers of lights, in which case they would be spots with shadow maps. However they were done a year ago almost, and I have been a sleep more than once since then, so i could be a little off the mark.

Cheers!

Excellent as always Craig... ;)

Hey, I lit some of those :) Always amazed me how intricate the modelling was on that show. Render times could be an issue but the farm could really chew through scenes so wasn't a big problem (till Simon (IT overlord) kicked you off for frame renders over an hour...)

uh oh Craig... Are we headed for another poly count discussion here?

hahahahahahah!

wow, i'm not usually that out of it, lol

is it largely the same crew and same premises for season 2?
i knew someone working on season 1 and he didnt seem to think there was a season 2 coming so when i read this thread i got surprised.

Oh ok, depends what you mean by season 2. I was talking second set of 13 episodes. If you mean season 2 as in, more episodes past he 26 we already made, then no, there isn't going to be a season 2, or highly unlikely anyway. My bad if I confused that issue any :D

oooooooh! i see.
okay, i get it :)

aha, yeah, i thought you meant a whole new season 2, heh.
mind you, in the uk even 6 episodes of something seems to constitute a series or season. or something.

great work though. remember seeing your b5 stuff everywhere yonks ago. :)
