I would like to take a few photos of my self for 3d modeling.
One from the front, one from each side and one from the back.

4 pictures total.

Is there any way to turn those pictures into a 3d model in lightwave for
tweaking?

Do i have to open those pictures in aura, then save and open in lightwave.
Does aura save lightwave extensions?

I'd go for something easier. Try reading the manual and some books before attempting to model yourself. Newteks site has some great tutorials, including simple head modelling.

How did you come to buy this software?

I was thinking soemthing like realviz image modeler lets you take
pictures of buidlings and pratically turns it into a 3d model for you
very easy.

thanks any way as you know you cant learn lightwave overnight!

Why would you buy Aura and LW if realviz modeller does what you want?

This demo from another thread had a pretty nifty idea on doing something quite similar to this.

If you wanted to use Image Modeler you'd want to have dots on your face when you took the pictures.

You could lay out splines over your images in Lightwaves' Modeler. You can probably find a tutorial on spline modeling a head too.
