Hello all,

This is my first ever finished LW rendering. Thanks to all who helped on my arch brick question. Modeled in AutoCAD, exported as 3DS, rendered in LW, and post edit in Pshop.

Let me know what you think,

Tom

Hello Tommymamn,

Yes in deed, for a first job it is pretty fantastic and you can be very proud of your work.
I really like the colour of the overall tone.
It reminds me of a fairytale.

Keep Posting.

Very nice render...... its nice to see a residential render thats not ultra-realistic, your render has a more painterly look about it that some clients would prefer.

Nice start.

You might want to play around with lighting a bit more - better contrast - as it loks a bit flat - too much ambient.

You need to sit the bushes on the right down better and consider adding a few more shrubs. Study a few other illustrations to learn a few landscaping "rules".

Grass is a bit thick for me
A few more clouds visable woudl help too.

Great start. Keep it up.

Nice first render Tom :)

One thing I've noticed is it seems as though your siding texture is upside down. It seems off. The dark area (shadow) should be toward the top of the siding course, and then it should lighten as you move down.

look like a cartoon style... but I like the ambient.
do you want that style or more 'human scale'?
