View Full Version : Gradient surface to object??

Dumb question. But, suppose you have a cylinder that you want to color with a gradient. No animation or anything. Just a gradient like in photoshop or illustator. Is the only way to do this is with an image map prepared in photoshop or illustrator.

Use a LightWave gradient in the color channel.

I do not see that option in Surface Editor. could you tell me how to get there in the Surface Editor. For the color channel all I see is solid color.

That was how I was trying to do it. Just did not seem to work. Maybe I had the texture size incorrect. Thanks a bunch.

Make sure you are using a valid "Input Parameter". The setting shown in my screenshot would be pretty useless, as is. Keep playing with it, you'll get it.
